CAREER IN DISABLITY SECTOR |
Starting my career as a NAATI qualified Auslan interpreter, I worked both in Australia and England providing service to the Deaf community. My interpreting work led to working in many fields, including employment, education, health, government, and general community settings. I have developed disability focussed programs and documents, written reports and recommendations to Federal and State Governments, and initiated service from Intake to provision.
A decade of experience as a senior Case Manager supporting family's and individual's, in Disability, Family, and Ageing sectors, enables my work to encompass all facets of life. I offer both short and long term service, including clients with complex needs and dual diagnoses. I have been a strong equality advocate through my career, and work with clients toward self determined outcomes.
During my career, I have worked within many cultural diverse communities, and have provided service with augmentative communication options.
